Spot  and wind conditions

There are 2 kite seasons in Kenya.

Summer season between June to September and winter season from December to March. Wind speed is usually between 15-25 knots. The expansive sandy beaches provide a safe and scenic environment, perfect for both beginners and advanced riders. There is plenty of space and no crowd. There is a flat water on a low tide and small waves on the high tide.

The Indian Ocean around Watamu remains warm year-round, making it comfortable for kitesurfing without the need for a wetsuit.
